Layered Screen Prints

acetate

This is a page in our screen printing booklet we are particularly fond of. Acetate has been used a lot throughout our work and continues to be one of our favourite materials.

Bleached Denim

Bleaching was an interesting experience involving marigolds and a tatty dressing gown. The outcome was equally interesting, but not for the same reasons.

Colverson Sans

There's something personal about handmade fonts. This is probably why Colverson Sans appealed to us so much - we've all taken a highly personal approach to this project.

Collaboration

This piece started with Chris, and grew as it went around the group. We individually added our own twist to it, changing the theme as we went along.

Blouse

Another piece from the bleaching experience, and definately a satisfactory result. We used a stencil and bleach in a spray bottle so no paintbrushes were harmed in the making of this.

Cardboard

cardboard

Cardboard has been one of our favourite materials to work with alongside the acetate. Is there nothing the robust material can't do? Apart from make ham sandwiches, of course.

Lil's Frisbee

We wanted merchandise for the summer but wanted to stay away from beach themes. And so the frisbee was born - the ultimate tool of procrastination for those long summer days.

Lee's Frisbee

Truly a coinneseur of frisbee art, Lee contributes a masterpiece in portable entertainment. "I'm so all about ultimate frisbee!" - Family Guy

Letter Press

There's nothing more satisfying than rolling a sheet of paper through a giant machine that could crush your hand. Imagine our delight when we figured out said machine also embossed type.

Stationery

Everyone loves getting mail. So getting mail from Salt transcends from being a good experience to being something that is purely epic. Hold on to your stamps.

More Letter Press Work

Another shining example of our work. It shines so much you could probably use it in the dark - handling in real life may require sun lotion and sunglasses. Everyone should know about the potential dangers of shocking pink.

Salt in the Sky

An attempted viral meant that we generated more work than was humanely possible - this is one of those pieces. Flying salt isn't just flying salt. It's who we are and what we do.

Our Logo

our logo

Flying salt is free spirited, spontaneous and quirky which is why we chose it to represent us as a design group. Our decision may have been biased by an undeniable infatuation with salt sachets.
